Hello, I am Katrina Marie the designer for Lil Miss Dolls™! I have always had a love for dolls, as most girls do. As a young girl I spent many of my days creating paper dolls and their fashions before learning to sew. As I got older and learned to operate a sewing machine, I made many things, such as pillows, teddy bears, and their clothing. It wasn't until I was 11 that I was really inspired to make doll clothing, after finding a Hot Looks doll by Mattel.

She was a 18” pose able cloth fashion doll. I liked her so much I designed her a whole line of clothing...and made a limited edition of each outfit to sell at a local craft show that my parents were doing. I still remember staying up late packaging each outfit in a plastic bag, with a piece of poster board and a printed fold over label stapled to the top, the night before the show.

Soon after my first doll clothing line I was getting paid to sew. At first, it was a job for my mom sewing canvas and leather art pillows. But quickly it turned into sewing clothing for myself and my friends. By the time I was fourteen I was professionally paid to make dresses for a local Sewing and Alteration shop. At seventeen I was working at a Theatre making costumes. And at nineteen I started my own business named Creative Garb, designing and creating Renaissance costumes, travelling and selling them all over the United States. Later the business evolved into unique Bridal and Evening attire inspired by times past and the name was changed to Katrina Marie Designs.
